Now afraid of Esau, Jacob left to his mothers father land, Where he was planning to find wife for himself. Actually it was suggested by his mother to his father and and Isaac blessed Jacob and send him for the journey. On the way in the night while sleeping he saw a dream in which a staircase from Heaven was on Earth and in Heaven he could see the Lord. And angels were descending and ascending on it. Lord then spoke to him and said, all this land will be his as God had promised his Father Isaac and Grand Father Abraham. He build a altar and called the place Bethel(House of God). He then decided that if God protects him and takes care of him then he will give 10th of whatever God gives him.

Isaiah 47

God warns Babylon and mentions that its fall is due, It was proud thinking that there won’t be any fall for it but its going to happen. He challenges the astrologers to predict but he says that nobody will be there to protect the.

Job 17

Job continues the speech and says his plans have all shattered. He challenges his friends and says “I will not find a wise man among you”.

Bible Study

1 Corinthians 11

This chapter is about who is the head of whom. God is head of Christ, Christ is Head of Man, Man is Head of Women.

Man is suppose to not cover is head while praying, but on contrary women is suppose to cover her head while praying else she should have her hair cut off.

Neither was Man created for Women, but Woman for Man. For this reason and because of angels, the women ought to have a sign of authority on her head. Angel part is not clear to me. Why for Angel something is done, Is the scripture referring to Lucifer or Good angels.

Then the discussion is about Lords Supper, that we should honor it. We should examine ourselves before we partake it else he eats and drinks judgment on himself. So Paul instructs to wait for each other before eating and if anyone is hungry, he should eat at home.

Genesis 27

Here we can learn about the how deceitful Jacob was. He took the blessing which was supposed to be given to Esau. I really feel bad for Esau, the way the things went on. One important concept we can understand is blessing is very important and its not about the name of the person but its about the person himself. Jacob became the head of the all the relatives and his own elder brother and in coming days through him all the nations of the earth will be blessed. It was according to the plan of God, As before he was born God said elder will serve the younger. Also another important aspect is once you gave blessing same blessing cannot be given to other. It seemed like its already flown from Isaac and came upon Jacob, so he couldn’t bless Esau with same blessing. We should try to get blessing from Godly people, in this case Isaac was God chosen person.

Isaiah 46

Here we can see God speaking about his purpose and says that his purpose will stand, and he will do all that he pleases. For fulfilling purpose he will call people from far of land, What he says, he will bring about. What he planned, he will do.

Main idea is about bringing salvation to Zion and it will not be delayed.

Job 16

Job got angry with his friends that they were putting blame on him instead of consoling him. He compared and said that if he had been in similar position he would have given them some relief by his words.

Then he again starts to complain about Why God did all this to him and the agony and pain he is going through. Though he is going through all this mishaps but still his hands are free of violence and his prayer is pure.

Bible Study

Today I’m starting with reading Bible once again after a long time. I’ve read Bible Multiple times and every time there’s lot of things to understand and apply in my life. Earlier I used to follow Inductive Study Bible. I thought of starting with Another bible and if its not working I’ll switch to the Old Inductive Study Bible.

Inductive Study Bible is well organized and is designed in a way which will help us to understand and absorb the real meaning of what we are reading. Here we need to structure and write how its applying in our life and also emphasizing certain keywords. Actually its like identifying the keywords which will help us to understand the Bible more and remember in a better way.

This time to understand it in a more proper way I’m planning to blog everyday whatever I’ve read and understood. The idea which touched me and what God want to speak to me through his word.

I’ve already shared the Bible Reading plan earlier in my blog. Here’s what I’m starting from today

1 Corinthians – 10

Genesis – 26

Isaiah – 45

Job – 15

1 Corinthians – 10

1st Corinthians is written by Paul. 1st Corinthians 10 is about Warning from Israel’s History.

He is talking about 3 kinds of action which God hates

1. Do not be Idolaters –

Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry”. We should not commit Sexual Immorality, as some of them did- and in one day twenty three thousand of them died.

2. We should not test the Lord

As some of them did and were killed by snakes

3. Do not Grumble

As some of them did and were killed by the destroying angel

He also speaks about why its written so that its an example for us to be warned by there actions. He gives very good comparison that “No Temptation has seized you except what is common to Man. And God is faithful,; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. He will also provide you way to out. This is really cool as all people go through the similar thing so its vain comparison that my problem is greater than others. Its only package which gets changed but the inside content is all same.

Then he talks about Believers Freedom. Do what is really constructive and beneficial to fellow human being. “Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others.” I wonder how many people live like that. We always seek our good than others. We are all really selfish people but God loves the person who seeks others good than his.

Then Whatever you eat or drink or do , Do it all for the Glory of God. Be thankful To God.

Genesis 26

Here we can see Isaac moved out from the place he was living before and he repeated same mistake as His father by telling lie to the ruler about his wife. He said that Rebekah was his sister and not wife. Seems that Fathers act gets caught with Sons. Kind of things we learn from our own parents and we apply in our life.

Then its about how much Lord was keep on blessing Isaac.

“Isaac Planted crops in that Land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because Lord blessed him.. The man became rich , and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy”.

So much awesome scripture. Isaac was so much wealthy that he had to move out from the city because the ruler was thinking Isaac was more powerful than him. Main thing to ponder is Same year he reaped a hundredfold.. How many of our financial seed reaps hundredfold. When God blesses its really amazing. We should always try to get his blessing otherwise our financial seeds will not multiply.

Everybody came to know that Lord was with Isaac, Think about our life. Because of our blessing and wealth if people comes to know to know that the Lord is with us, That’s the level we should all expect to grow in Lord.

Isaiah 45

This chapter is about Lord, What he creates and how much he loves Israel. He says there is no Other God other than Him. All the scriptures are powerful, but one really stands out

“I bring prosperity and create disaster”.

So we should pray to God for prosperity and keep you away from the disaster because he is in control.

Job – 15

Job 15 is about Jobs friend who without understanding is pointing that Job is sinner and its because of his fault all this calamity had happened to him.
